Clinic Procedures - COVID-19

Updated 12/15/2020

At The Feline Fix, we are dedicated to the safety of our clients, staff, and volunteers as our community continues to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. To allow for us to continue our critical work of helping the most vulnerable cats, we are requiring our clients, staff and volunteer to follow current public health guidelines, and ask that all clients and visitors adhere to the following:

  • We require our clients to maintain proper social distancing and masks must be worn at all times to help ensure the safety of our staff. Our lobby is closed to the public and we continue to offer our services with no contact options. Please call our office if you are in need of our services so we can figure out how to best assist you.

  • If you or anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or has been exposed to someone who has tested positive for the virus, please call us. We would be happy to reschedule your appointment.

  • When you arrive at our clinic, we ask that you wait in your car and call our office. If you are here for our spay/neuter or wellness clinics, our staff will collect all necessary information over the phone. They will then direct you to set your cat next to our front door, where the staff will come out and immediately collect your cat. All cats are required to be in a carrier for their appointment with no exceptions.

  • We are only accepting credit card payments at this time. Please have a credit card available when you are dropping off your cat for services. We are still accepting cash and check donations, we just ask they be mailed to our clinic.

  • We are still conducting kitten adoptions! Our adoption process is being done virtually with online applications and virtual adoption visits. You can find our available kittens on our website. If you see a kitten you are interested in adopting, email nicole@thefelinefix.org for an application or with any questions.

  • Due to the high demand for veterinary services at this time, we are booking for both our spay/neuter and wellness clinics several months out. Please call us to schedule an appointment. If you are in need of services sooner than our schedule allows, the staff can give you referrals to other clinics.

  • Our services are limited at this time to spay/neuters and wellness appointments. We are not capable of seeing walk up appointments, nail trims or any emergencies. If your cat is in need of veterinary care the same day, please take your cat to a full service clinic or an emergency facility. The closest full service clinic is Northfield Veterinary Hospital and the closest emergency facility is Veterinary Emergency Group.

We appreciate your patience as we continue to navigate these challenging times!
